WHAT’S NEW FOR THE 2020 INFINITI Q60?
Now deep into its second generation of production, the INFINITI Q60 coupe gets several updates. Chief among them is the recently introduced INFINITI InTouch infotainment interface, which consists of HD dual-display LCD/VGA 8-inch upper and 7-inch lower touchscreens. Other changes include standard smartphone integration via Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and virtual assistants with Siri and Google Voice.
WHICH FEATURES ARE AVAILABLE FOR 2020?
The 2020 INFINITI Q60 is available in three trims, which are the Pure, Luxe, and Red Sport 400. Designed as a two-door compact coupe that aims to be equal parts luxury and sporty, the Q60 has two rows of seats that can accommodate four people. Leatherette seat covering, brushed aluminum trim, front-seat 8-way power, driver-side manual lumbar support, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel are also standard.
Semi-aniline leather-appointed seating, black carbon fiber trim, driver-side memory, aluminum foot pedals, and driver-side power lumbar and torso support are reserved for just the Red Sport 400. In addition to the previously mentioned InTouch system, standard comfort and convenience features start at the Pure level with equipment such as cruise control, dual-zone automatic climate control, a smart key system with push-button engine start, six-speaker audio, Bluetooth audio streaming and hands-free phone calling, HD Radio, AM/FM radio, a single-disc CD player with MP3 playback capability, USB flash drive playback ability, two USB ports, and a three-month trial subscription to SiriusXM Radio.
Auto-dimming ability on the rearview mirror and a garage-door opener are added on the Luxe. Only the Red Sport 400 has a navigation system, voice recognition technology, remote engine start, a Wi-Fi hotspot, additional three-month trial subscription to SiriusXM Traffic and SiriusXM Travel Link, and a 13-speaker Bose Performance-Series audio system.
GREAT POWER AND FUEL ECONOMY
A 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine powers all trims of the 2020 INFINITI Q60. It produces 300 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque on the Pure and Luxe versions and 400 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque on the top-level Red Sport (thus the “400” suffix). Pinned to the engine is an electronically controlled 7-speed automatic transmission, with steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters added on the Red Sport 400. INFINITI provides the option between rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive.
2020 INFINITI Q60 SAFETY FEATURES
For safety, the 2020 INFINITI Q60 starts with features such as six airbags (dual front impact, dual side-impact, and dual side curtain airbags), a rearview camera, four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes with electronic brake-force distribution and brake assist, electronic vehicle stability and traction control systems, hill start assist, and a theft-deterrent system backed by a smart key slot.
At the Luxe level, INFINITI adds a predictive forward collision warning and forward emergency braking with pedestrian detection. Unique to the Red Sport 400 are a surround-view camera, an automatic collision notification, an emergency call system, front and rear parking sensors, backup collision intervention, and blind-spot warning.
