HOW TO USE THE 2020 INFINITI QX60 MOTION-ACTIVATED LIFTGATE?

The motion-activated liftgate will allow you to open and close your trunk without having to maneuver it on your own. You don’t have to use your keys to try and open your trunk that way. You won’t even have to put down what you’re carrying to gain access. Closing your trunk can be very difficult if you have to move it manually. The lid is usually quite heavy, and it’s tough to make this motion. A quick and simple motion of your leg is all that you need to get things moving.

To use the motion-activated liftgate, you walk towards the back of your vehicle and center yourself with the license plate. There is a sensor that’s located right underneath your bumper in this area. You quickly sweep your leg and foot underneath your vehicle to engage the liftgate function. Once your vehicle senses that you’re there, it will unlatch your trunk lid.

The liftgate will start to raise up slowly. Take your time packing up your trunk. The gate won’t close until you’re ready. Once you are done with your trunk and want to close it up, do the same sweeping motion underneath your vehicle. You will hear a short series of beeps prior to the trunk closing. Make sure that you stand back, so you’re out of the way of the lid closing. The trunk will close slowly and will latch at the end.
